Rocky, Park, Colorado familys of the past Stoll, Caylor, Miller, Allen, Snair, Johnson. White and Wright
My genealogical writing on the Stoll, Caylor, Miller, Allen, Snair, Johnson. White, Wright, and connected families of Rocky, Park, Colorado can be found in my Stoll book or at the Park County Local History Archives.
Any state genweb site is good place to start your research. Such as http://www.cogenweb.com which is the Colorado genweb. And their state gravestone projects which is a companion. For Colorado it is http://coloradogravestones.org These gravestone sites can be improved by you as you add family gravestone photos and information about their family history. You can also link known family members to each-other, making them easy to find.
The Stoll Book has been published and met with good reviews; a fond thank you goes out to the Park County CO Archives which now holds a copy of this book.
We as researchers are now working with the Ute Pass Archives at Divide Colorado to help research the pioneers of Divide and those living along Ute Pass for a book that will be finished next year. The Archives is doing the writing and we are having a good time providing them with pertained information.
They are also working on a book about the Divide CO Cemetery which we are helping to research.
I must say that working with theses two Archives has been a personal blessing toward gleaning my own family history and very rewarding with regards to researching other local families as well. sjeffryes
